I don't belong to the 9 hour working rule

Brief introduction about me: I am a software engineer with 5+ years experience in coding, testing, deploying, designing, struggling to take leaves, facing typical IT appraisal cycles with no hikes :p I have been part of many Enterprise applications with hands on experience in Core Java, Spring, Hibernate, MySql, MongoDb, maven, tomcat I have also worked on HTML, Javascript, Android, Eclipse plugins, RCP in the past, though I am currently not working on it. My domains include IoT and automotive domain Now let's speak about the title :D If you are employed you might easily catch this phrase "9 hour", if you still didn't get it then let me elaborate it for you. Usually in many industries you need to work for a specific number of hours to mark your full day attendance, this is no difference for an IT industry with which I am associated.
